Talent and retention
Spire is an innovative new education-to-employment training model designed to provide Kenyan companies with the globally competitive staff they need to thrive. We work with employers in two ways: we work to provide entry-level talent with the skills to contribute on day one; and we work with existing employees to give them the skills they need to become leaders, while improving retention and performance.
Skills and jobs
Existing education and training models are not always focused on skills employers need. This drives massive unemployment among graduates and stifles economic growth. Rather than sitting in lectures, our students learn by doing—through both hands-on classroom activities and paid apprenticeships with desirable employers—to build the technical and soft skills required for lifelong success.
New models and innovation
Spire is career-focused higher education and training reimagined from the ground up. We are developing a low-cost, scalable platform to smooth the transition from education to employment based on high-quality offline teaching, standardized curricula, online educational content, and a lean campus model. We are excited to partner with educators and institutions taking on these challenges.
WHO WE ARE
We are an experienced team of educators and talent development experts with over 30 years in the higher education sector in East Africa. We bring backgrounds in training and management from McKinsey & Co and Harvard Business School. We led one of the most successful scholarship programs in East Africa, Generation Rwanda, and recently co-founded Kepler, an innovative higher education program in Rwanda.
